I Need an Intervention...

My name is Sam, and I am an unfashionable, comfy-clothes addict.
There, I've said it.
And admitting you have a problem is the first step, right?

Despite promising I would have an outfit post for you soon, I just haven't taken any photos of my outfit these last few days. Sure, there had been pieces of them that I've wanted to share with you all, but my overall feeling has been BLAH.
The weather is blah, my outfits feel blah, and I have been feeling kind of blah in my own skin.
This morning, I left my purse at home, which means I have no money and no allergy medicine -- which makes me feel very *ACHOO!* blah.

I'm kinda liking my outfit today, though.
It's nothing super amazing or fashion-forward, but it's comfy and I think it's flattering.
I'll try to snap some photos and hopefully have a real outfit post for you kids soon, but I won't make any promises this time.

What do you do when you're feeling blah? How do you spice up your outfits when you lack the motivation? How long does it take you to snap your outfit photos, and how do you talk yourself into it when you don't feel like taking/making the time? Or do you skip days when you just don't feel up to it?

  1. I tend to force myself to do it RIGHT when I get home from work.
I've begun to really like what I've been wearing, because now that I see myself in the clothes I want to make sure I don't re-wear the same outfit.

If I'm not totally feeling an outfit (or I'm not feeling like dressing up) I try to throw on a bright scarf, which makes me feel a little better.
Maybe you just need a few things like that?

  2. When I feel blah, I wear a dress. Simple, just need a pair of shoes.

It takes me about 1/2 an hour total to get dressed in my clothes, take my pictures (I use the timer for the body shots), upload, edit and write my post. The only day I'm lax is Fridays, when I sometimes load up on Saturday instead.

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting... it's a great idea to try a slip, maybe a Spanx all body one...
When I feel blah and dress blah (like for example today!)I still stop and take pictures so I have evidence and don't go down that road again.
Blah for me is jeans (unless it's weekend) it's simple as jeans go with almost everything.
I usually take 3 minutes or less to take my pictures and I do my best not to skip....

  5. To be honest, knowing that I will be posting my outfits keeps me from getting too complacent about it. Even if it's just adding a scarf or a cool necklace or funky shoes, I try to do SOMETHING with even the most mundane of outfits. Now, even if I don't take a picture, which I often don't on the weekends, I don't fall into a slump.
